Deborah Antignano’s Testimony
I feel the need to touch upon
again about the Resurrection of JESUS CHRIST and the
impact it had upon me when my eyes were opened to
the Truth! The Word of God is powerful and it cut
through the darkness of the scripture twisting that
the Jehovah’s Witnesses had fed me all those
years. I do just want to say though that Jehovah’s
Witnesses are a very committed people to what they
believe is true. It just saddens me that they are
being misled by the organization that they are so
committed to. I pray that the eyes of Jehovah’s
Witnesses would be open to the fact that justification
comes by faith in Christ Jesus as the Book of Romans
so clearly states.
Just to further explain what the
LORD showed me in Scripture which made celebrating
Easter all the more special was the passage of Scripture
in John 20:24-27 when the LORD appeared to Thomas
and Jesus said to him to “Put your finger here;
see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into
my side. Stop doubting and believe.” This is
just one of many passages the LORD showed me that
everything they taught was a lie. They teach based
on this verse in the Watchtower’s You Can Live
Forever in Paradise on Earth, page 145, Jesus had
to trick the apostle Thomas into thinking his disposed
of body had actually been resurrected: “In order
to convince Thomas of who He was, He used a body with
wound holes.” Also the Holy Spirit further opened
my eyes to the Truth in Luke 24:39: See my hands and
my feet that it is I myself; feel me and see, because
a spirit does not have flesh and bones just as you
behold I have. I can go on and on about the misrepresentation
of Scripture that the Jehovah’s Witnesses’
organization teaches.
One can see how special that first
Easter was for my family and I to celebrate. I will
never forget it. The tears of joy still continue until
this very day. I am so grateful for my Salvation!
The LORD also had to show me that it is not based
on “works” how one is saved. Works is
what Jehovah’s Witnesses pride themselves upon
and they are very committed to that. However, that
is not what Scripture teaches. The Scripture that
gave Light to my understanding was Ephesians 2:8-10:
“For by Grace you have been saved through faith
and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God
not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
I am forever grateful that this
“captive” has been set free by the Blood
of Jesus Christ. I am forever grateful that I serve
a Risen Savior seated at the right hand of the Father.
HE is my High Priest through whom I can boldy approach
the throne of Grace. I do not serve an “organization”.
I serve the Living God who sent HIS Son to die on
the cross for my sins and raised HIM up in bodily
form on the third day. I pray that the eyes of those
who follow the teachings of the Watchtower would become
opened. Justification one receives is by faith in
the Son of God! To HIM I am a servant of! To HIM I
live for! I look forward to the day to see my Savior
face to face!
